The following charges against 23-year-old Alexander Christian Bohensky, of Penfield, were waived for court on June 11:

– Disorderly Conduct Hazardous/Physical Offense, Misdemeanor 3

All of the above charges have been transferred to the Jefferson County Court of Common Pleas.

Tapper and Bohensky both remain free on $5,000.00 each unsecured bail.

The charges stem from a fight involving multiple people in the parking lot of a business in Punxsutawney.

Details of the case:

According to a criminal complaint, around 3:17 a.m. on February 2, Punxsutawney Borough Police were dispatched to a fight in progress in the parking lot of a business on Findley Street.

Officers arrived at the scene and were advised the men involved in the fight had fled the scene in a white pickup truck. A check of the area for the vehicle was unsuccessful.

The complaint states witnesses reported an altercation involving five men had taken place, with Dylan Tapper and Alexander Bohensky named as the aggressors and three known men identified as victims.

According to the complaint, the three male victims noted there was also an altercation involving two women.

The first victim reported he helped an unknown man off the ground and into a truck that then left the lot. He then continued to walk away, and he saw the second victim get punched and knocked to the ground, then kicked. He told police he went to help the second victim and was then “blindsided” (punched) by “some guy by the name of Alex.” He reported he was knocked to the ground, then got up and helped the second victim off the ground.

The second victim reported he and the other two victims were going to their vehicle when they found Dylan Tapper at the vehicle’s door. The second victim told police he told Tapper, “I don’t want to fight; I’m just trying to get in my car to go home.” Tapper then allegedly swung at him and hit him in the face. Tapper then grabbed him around the waist and by the thighs. The second victim reported he put his arm around Tapper’s head and continued to say, “I don’t want to fight,” but then fell backward.

The second victim said when they got back up, it felt like someone had hit him in the back of the head, but he wasn’t certain if he’d struck his head on the pavement when Tapper took him to the ground. Tapper then allegedly struck him in the head again and knocked him out. The second victim then fell to the ground, and Tapper kicked him in the face.

The complaint notes the second victim did not regain consciousness until officers were already on the scene. He was transported to Punxsutawney Hospital via ambulance for treatment.

A third victim reported he and the other two victims were leaving when Alex Bohensky started fighting with a known man, while women were also involved in a separate altercation. The second victim said he grabbed Bohensky and told him to stop and go home. The third victim said Bohensky then “came after” him and tackled him to the ground. The third victim said he got to his feet and then broke up the fight between the women. Bohensky then allegedly punched the third victim in the right side of the face.

The third victim and one of the women then left the scene and only returned when asked to by police.

The charges against Bohensky were filed through Judge Mizerock’s office on March 16.
