Details of the cases:

Assault/Terroristic Threats Case:

Around 1:09 a.m. on January 15, 2020, Brookville Borough Police were dispatched to a residence on Mabon Street for a domestic dispute/mental health incident.

According to the complaint, a male victim reported that Paige Danielle Brosky threatened him, saying she was going to cut his throat. He told police Brosky struck him in the face earlier that day. He also reported that she had been acting strange, and believed he was her cousin, a wrestler from TV, the devil, and God. Brosky threw food in his face and attempted to hit him in the face with a broom and also tried to put a bathrobe tie around his neck in an attempt to choke him.

The victim explained he had scheduled an appointment for Brosky to see a doctor because he was becoming fearful of her erratic behavior for not only himself but for his juvenile child, the complaint notes.

Police then spoke with Brosky and questioned her about wanting to hurt the victim. She reportedly stated: “Yes, I am going to cut his throat,” according to the complaint.

Police then suggested to Brosky that she go to Penn Highlands DuBois for a mental health evaluation, and she agreed to go.

Police also contacted CYS.

While officers were waiting with Brosky for the ambulance, she stated she also planned to kill her juvenile child and said she was going to use crystal meth to poison the child, then slit the victim’s throat, the complaint indicates.

Jefferson County EMS then arrived at the scene, and Brosky was transported to Penn Highlands DuBois for a mental health evaluation.

Child Endangerment Case:

Two days prior to the terroristic threats incident, Paige Danielle Brosky imbibed methamphetamine and then abandoned her three-year-old child at a residence on Mabon Street in Brookville Borough, unsupervised and with no immediate access to food or water on January 13, 2020, according to a criminal complaint.

The toddler was within easy access of drug paraphernalia, firearms, and other dangerous items, including a butane torch, causing a substantial risk of serious bodily injury or death.

She was found alone in the residence after Brosky was taken by ambulance from the Jefferson County Courthouse for a suspected overdose, according to the complaint.

The complaint states Jefferson County Children and Youth Services (CYS) conducted an investigation, and the child was then placed in the protective care of an extended family member.

Brosky was arraigned in front of Magisterial District Judge Gregory M. Bazylak at 8:50 a.m. on Wednesday, June 17, in both cases.
