Catherine Irene (Munn) Erickson, age 98, of Penfield, PA passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Christ The King Manor of DuBois, PA.
She was born on September 27, 1918 in Galeton, PA and was the daughter of Raleigh and Louise (Banner) Munn.
On July 20, 1940 she married July 20, 1940 who preceded her in death Nov. 5, 1992.
She is survived by two children, Jean (George) Kirsits of Indianapolis, IN and Kathy (Russ) Bingham of Enfield, CT; six grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Bernard Lee Erickson; and a brother at age 5.
Catherine graduated from Penfield High School and later from the Clearfield School of Nursing.
She worked as an RN doing general and private duty nursing in DuBois, Niagara Falls and Marietta, OH. She also worked as an industrial nurse for Union Carbide in Marietta.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Force, PA.
Visitation for family and friends is Friday, April 21, 2017 from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. at the Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home, Penfield, PA.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday at the St. Joseph Catholic Church of Force, Pa., with Father Mark Mastrian.
Interment will be at Morningside Cemetery, DuBois, PA
