Cecile L. Flick, 78 of Rossiter, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2015 at her home.
Mrs. Flick was born May 11, 1937 in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late Forrest R. and Gayle (Connor) Lowmaster. Cecile was preceded in death by her husband James E. Flick in 1996.
She was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church in Rossiter. Cecile was a mail carrier for the US Postal Service for 50 years before retiring. She was also a Girl Scout Leader. She enjoyed making Easter candy, being in the outdoors and helping in her community but most of all Cecile was devoted to her family. Her grandchildren werer everything to her and she enjoyed many Sunday dinners at home with everyone.
She is survived by two sons; James E. Flick, Jr. and wife Phyllis, Ray T. Flick and grilfriend Grace Huey all of Rossiter, two daughters; Mary Jane Ecelberger and husband Dennis also of Rossiter, Marjorie Arbuckle and husband Steve of Freeport, eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren, son in law; Dan Orcutt and wife Lisa of Smicksburg, three sister’s in law; Dorothy, Betty and Becky Lowmaster and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband James, she is preceded in death by one daughter; Margaret Orcutt, five brothers; Charles, John and Ernest Lowmaster and two infant brothers and two infant sisters.
Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 pm Wednesday, December 16, at the McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am Thursday, December 17 at the funeral home with Rev. Don Brauer officiating. Interment will follow at Circle Hill Cemetery.
