CEO of Clarion Forest VNA Warns Residents of Fundraising Appeal Scam

CLARION, Pa. – Clarion Forest VNA’s CEO is warning the public to be cautious about a fundraising appeal from a group called The Hospice Fund.

Jill Over, CEO of Clarion Forest VNA, told exploreJeffersonpa.com that local residents are receiving a solicitation from a group called The Hospice Support Fund. This fund utilizes a local county with the name when soliciting, such as the Hospice Support Fund for Jefferson County.

The address for donations is in Merryfield, Virginia, and none of the donations go to the Clarion Forest VNA Hospice.

Over says a few moments of research on-line shows that of the money raised in this manner, more than 90% is used for administrative and fundraising expenses.

Anyone who wishes to donate to Clarion Forest VNA may do so at their office located at 271 Perkins Road, Clarion Pa.
