Charcoal Drawing Class Set for June 6-10 in Cook Forest

COOKSBURG, PA – The Sawmill Art Center will host a charcoal drawing class on June 6-10 in Cook Forest.

The class, taught by Lauren George, will teach participants to use contour lines and shading to create dramatic sketches. Warm-up exercises and sketching techniques will train both the eye and hand in drawing a variety of subjects including natural objects, people and animals.

The class will run from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Monday, June 6 through Friday, June 10.

The cost is $130 for the week with a $25 materials fee, or $30 per day with a $6 materials fee. Participants are asked to bring their own lunch.

It is recommended that participants come for the entire week since the class will build on prior skills throughout the week.
