Charges Dismissed in Assault Case

NORTH MAHONING TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Charges against a local man accused of assaulting a Rossiter woman have been dismissed.

According to court documents, Punxsutawney-based State Police filed criminal charges against 34-year-old David Mitchell Neal, of Valier, in Magisterial District Judge Susanne V. Steffee’s office on Sunday, April 24.

Neal was accused of assaulting a 35-year-old Rossiter woman.

He faced the following charges:

– Simple Assault, Misdemeanor 2
– Harassment – Subject Other to Physical Contact, Summary

The charges stemmed from an April 24 domestic incident at a residence along Stonetown Road in Canoe Township, Indiana County.

Neal was arraigned later that day in front of Judge Steffee, and then lodged in the Indiana County Jail.

Charges were later dismissed.
