Charges Pending Against Man Caught With Stolen Items

WINSLOW TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Police say charges are pending against a man recently caught with several stolen items in his vehicle.

According to DuBois-based State Police, sometime between 8:15 a.m. on and 9:30 a.m. on January 13, two cell phones were stolen out of a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck belonging to a known 40-year-old male victim from Brookville.

Police say on January 14, contact was made with 27-year-old Steven Frampton, of Worthville, in his vehicle identified as a 2015 Dodge RAM, at a location on Reeds Dam Road, after Frampton was linked to several theft investigations throughout the Jefferson County area.

According to police, on January 15, a search warrant was executed on Frampton’s vehicle, which resulted in the recovery of the two stolen phones, identified as a blue iPhone XR and a silver iPhone 7, valued at $1,000.00 each, being located inside the vehicle, along with a black Canon camera in a blue cause, valued at $75.00, and a Case logic camera case, valued at $15.00.

Police say charges are pending through District Court 54-3-02.

The investigation remains ongoing as other suspected stolen items were seized during the execution of the search warrant, according to police.
