Charles Duane Scully

1748338_profile_pic[1]Charles Duane Scully, 71, Punxsutawney, died Tuesday, February 16, 2016, at the Punxsutawney Area Hospital.

He was born January 28, 1945, in Desire, a son of the late Olivette L. (Cramer) and William Scully.

On August 17, 1968, he married Jeanne J. (Monoskey) Scully, who survives.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Punxsutawney.

Duane worked as Supervisor for D.E.P for thirty-six years working on Mine Reclamation Projects.

He enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers, but most of all enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

He was a member of the Eagles, Walston Club, and the John W. Jenks Masonic Lodge #534.

In addition to his wife, Jeanne, he is survived by a daughter Lisa Catarouche and husband George of Punxsutawney; four grandchildren, Skyler, Jakob, Ashlyn, and Ryken Catarouche, all of Punxsutawney; a brother William Scully and wife Patti of Ridgeley, WV; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Clyde Scully.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday, February 18, 2016, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A Masonic Service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, February 18, 2016.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, February 19, 2016, at the funeral home with Pastor Paul Ritchey officiating.

Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Punxsutawney.
