Charles I. (Charley) Stitt

Charles I. (Charley) Stitt passed from this earth into a better place Thursday, February 9, surrounded by his family.

Charley was born May 31, 1939 to LuLu and Robert Stitt, in Reynoldsville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Margaret Smith, and two brothers, Robert and Sidney Stitt.

He is survived by his wife, Jackie, a daughter, Laural Hofsommer, and two sons, Dave and Dan Stitt. He has three grandchildren, Eadelin Hofsommer and Tyler Stitt and Jenna Stitt.

Charley was a lifetime member of the Reynoldsville Fire Department.

The community of Reynoldsville, and the surrounding areas, will remember him best as a reliable handyman, plumber, and most of all a good friend.

His interests were many, but truly enjoyed the outdoors, skating in his younger years, his motorcycle, and watching football games. He was a wealth of knowledge to everyone. But his children and grandchildren benefitted from his advice on how to get projects completed.

There will be a time of remembrance, and sharing with the family on Saturday, February 18 from 2-5pm at the Bernard P Snyder Funeral Home at 206 E Main St, Reynoldsville PA 15851.

A memorial service will follow the visitation.

Instead of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Reynoldsville Fire Company, Reynoldsville Ambulance Service, or the First United Methodist Church in Reynoldsville.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Bernard P. Snyder funeral home, Inc, Reynoldsville, PA.
