Charles R. Hanner Jr.

Charles R. Hanner Jr., 67, 247 W. Main St., Sykesville, died Wednesday evening, November 26, 2014, at his home.

Born May 3, 1947, in Punxsutawney, he was the son of the late Charles R. Hanner and Ruth Graffius Hanner.

Charles was a 1965 graduate of DuBois Area High School. He was a retired machinist for McDowell Manufacturing until its closing.

He was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Church in DuBois.

He was a Vietnam War veteran serving with the Army E-5. He enjoyed NASCAR, building model cars and spending time with his daughters and grandchildren.

Survivors include two daughters, Cheryl L. (Robert) Muders of Brookville and Debbie A. Made of Reynoldsville; and four grandchildren: Katelyn and Sara Muders and Alexis and Jacob Maze.

He was also preceded in death by an infant brother, Thomas Hanner.

A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, December 1, 2014, at the Bernard P. Snyder Funeral Home in Reynoldsville, with the Rev. Msgr. Richard Seifer officiating. Interment will be in St. Catherine’s Cemetery, DuBois. Military honors will be accorded by the DuBois Area Honor Guard.
