Charles Spurgeon Aharrah Jr.

Charles Spurgeon Aharrah Jr., 92, of Brookville, PA, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2023, while a resident of Brookside Senior Living in Brookville.

Charles better known as Junior, Chuck, or Charlie was born in Philadelphia, PA to Charles and Mabel (Ewing) Aharrah on July 17, 1930.

He graduated from Sigel High School and he worked for National Fuel Gas as a station engineer at the Heath Pump Station.

He proudly served with the United States Army during the Korean War.

Chuck married the love of his life Lois Kifer on June 6, 1964, in Butler, PA; Lois preceded him in passing on May 23, 2022.

He was a member of the Edeburn United Methodist Church.

Chuck was also a loving caregiver to his mother, wife, and siblings.

Chuck is survived by two brothers: Lawrence Aharrah and Samuel Aharrah; two sisters: Sandra Myers and Kay Aharrah; 14 nieces and nephews; and numerous great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, Chuck is preceded in passing by two brothers: Darwin Aharrah and Perry Aharrah; and one sister: Rebecca Aharrah.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, March 3, 2023, from 3pm to 6pm at the McKinney – d’Argy Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Brookville, PA 15825.

A second viewing will take place on Saturday, March 4, 2023, also at the funeral home, from 10am to 11am.

A funeral service will take place immediately following the second viewing, beginning at 11am and officiated by Pastor Joni Williams.

Military honors will be rendered by the Brookville Area Honor Guard.

Final interment will take place at Edeburn United Methodist Cemetery, Jefferson Co., PA.
