Charlotte E. Radaker, 86 of Distant, died Thursday morning, August 15, at the Armstrong County Health Center in Kittanning. She was born on October 25, 1926 in Distant and daughter of Michael Patrick and Lavina Ruth (Smail) Carr. She married Edward M. Radaker on April 17, 1947 and he preceded her in death on May 23, 2003.
She worked as a cook for the Jefferson Manor in Brookville. She enjoyed playing Bingo and cards.
Charlotte is survived by a daughter, Sandy White of Oak Ridge and a son, Patrick Radaker of Distant, five grandchildren, Robin White-Mulholland, Jeff White, Stanley White, Samantha Smith, and Eddie Radaker. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren, and a sister, Dolores Hollobaugh of New Bethlehem.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Conrad Radaker, two sisters, Mary Zigon and Patricia Orr, and two brothers, James Carr and Michael Carr.
Visitation will be on Saturday, August 17, from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 at the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn. The funeral service will be on Sunday, August 18 at the funeral home at 2:00pm with Pastor Lyle Westover officiating. Interment will be in the Middle Run Cemetery, Redbank Township, Clarion County.
