Charlotte L. Crissman

3750_smCharlotte L. Crissman, 87, of Templeton, PA, passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at her home.

She was born June 1, 1928 in North Freedom, PA, the daughter of Walter P. and Mary E. (Shirey) Reed.

Charlotte was a 1946 graduate of Punxsutawney High School but has been a residence of the Templeton area since 1955. She was a member of the Templeton United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school. Charlotte loved traveling and taking cruises with her husband, Dorsey. Her true passion was taking care of her family but also enjoyed cooking, baking, reading, and gardening. She will best be remembered as having a clever wit and a positive thankful attitude.

She will be greatly missed by her loving husband of 65 years Dorsey P. Crissman whom she married October 14, 1950; a son, Robert D. Crissman and wife, Gayle of Gloucester, VA; a daughter, Sheila A. Smith and husband, Albert of Kittanning; five grandchildren, Jonathan Crissman and wife, Kshama of New York City, Lisa M. Crissman of Virginia, Jessie Lockstamper and husband, Michael of Florida, Stacey Crissman of Virginia, Burnett Smith and wife, Nicole of Kittanning.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends will be received from 7-9 PM on Monday, January 18, 2016 at the Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 515 N. McKean Street, Kittanning, PA.

Additional visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of funeral services at 11 AM on Tuesday, January 19, 2016, at the funeral home with the Rev. Edward Bailey officiating.

Burial will be in Lawn Haven Burial Estates, Worthington, Pennsylvania.
