Cheryl J. Tregoning

Cheryl J. Tregoning, age 75, of 8th Avenue Brockway, PA; died on Thursday March 23, 2023 at Penn Highlands DuBois.

Born on August 9, 1947 in Hazen, PA; she was the daughter of the late Robert and Virginia Irvine Winkelman.

She was married to Mark Tregoning and he survives.

Retired, Cheryl had been employed at the VA Clinic in DuBois as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner.

She began her nursing/medical career by becoming an LPN.

She then attended Clarion State College where she obtained Registered Nursing license.

She then attended Slippery Rock State College where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree.

Finally she attended Misericordia University where she obtained the title of CRNP.

Cheryl was a member of the Lanes Mills United Methodist Church.

She was an avid quilter and loved to be in the outdoors especially going to the Clarion river for picnics.

Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Cheryl is survived by 2 daughters: Donna Snyder and Lisa (Jeffrey) Hale both of Brockway; a son Michael (Dayna) Blommen also of Brockway; a step-son Matt Tregoning of Michigan; a sister Carol Ann (Stan) Hoegerman of Williamsburg, VA; a brother Robert (Karen) Winkelman of Brockway; 7 grandchildren: Michelle (Jason) Vantassal, Oliver Snyder, Trisha Snyder, Timothy Hale, Michael (Macy) Blommen, Autumn (fiance Josh Malliard) Blommen and Kyle Blommen; 14 great grandchildren: Virginia, Cheryl, Cori, Annabelle, Grayson, Amberly, Jennifer, Cheyenne, Jeremy, Denver, Dakota, Robert, Courtney and Sierra; 5 great great grandchildren: Bryson, Isaac, Oaklynn, Brecken and Bradley.

In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by a granddaughter Nikki Burgard.

There will be no public visitation.

A private Memorial Service will be conducted by Pastor Dave Nagele.

The family of Cheryl Tregoning would like to express a heart felt thanks to all of the doctors and nurses that cared for Cheryl while she was a patient in the Intensive Care Unit at Penn Highlands DuBois.
