Clara Louise Agnello

Clara Louise “L” Agnello, 84, formerly of Anita, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Christ the King Manor in DuBois.

She was born August 19, 1932 in Lycoming County, Ralston, PA, a daughter of the late Theressa Ann (Touchlosky) and Stanley Perkowski.

On July 25, 1953 she married her sweetheart, Joseph Agnello. They enjoyed sixty three years of marriage together.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Anita.

Mrs. Agnello worked as a custodian at Parkview Elementary for many years. While accomplishing her job with a smile, she also demonstrated patience and kindness with the many children who attended school there.

She dearly loved her family and they will cherish her memory as a super, wonderful mom and grandma.

Her hobbies included Bingo, crocheting, reading, puzzles and flower gardening.

In addition to her husband Joe, she is survived by two sons, Anthony Thomas Agnello and Tammy Wadrose of Rochester Mills, and Joseph S. Agnello of DuBois; six grandchildren, Ashley White, Jerod White, Derek Joseph Agnello, Brandi Spence, Amber Agnello and Josh Agnello; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; one brother, Phillip William Perkowski and wife Lenny of Curwensville.

Preceded in death by her parents, three children, Thressa Guinen, Rosemary White and Phillip Michael Agnello; one granddaughter, Jennifer Duffield; an infant brother.

Friends will be received from 2-6 p.m. Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.

A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at SS.C.D. Catholic Church, celebrated by Monsignor Joseph Riccardo.

Interment will follow at Adrian-Anita Roman Catholic Cemetery, McCalmont Twp., Jefferson County.

Memorial donations may be made in Clara’s memory to St. Vincent de Paul.
