CLARION, Pa. (D9Sports) – Tryouts for an AUU program for 8U to 12U boys’ and girls’ in Clarion and surrounding communities will take place at Joe’s Gym between Clarion and Strattanville (next to the old YMCA) from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 17, and from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, February 24.
This program is designed for players who want to play competitive basketball. It will teach proper basketball fundamentals, as well as learning game situations. The mission of the program is to teach important team offense and defense concepts. Skill work, fundamental development and team building concepts will be taught weekly. This program is looking for athletes who love basketball and can commit to the team. Practices will be held in or around Clarion.
If your son or daughter can not commit or still needs to master basic fundamentals, an AAU Developmental option is also offered. Players will practice with the team and learn fundamental and team concepts. For additional information please email Ed Baumcratz at ebaumcratz@gmail.com.
