COOKSBURG, Pa. (EYT) – The Clarion Community Theater kicks off a series of showings of “Rumors” at the Sawmill Center for the Arts in Cooksburg.
The shows are scheduled for this Friday, August 22, and Saturday, August 23, and then next week on Thursday, August 28, Friday, August 29, and Saturday, August 30.
All showings are at 8:00 p.m.
Admission is $10.00 for children and $12.00 for adults.
Synopsis of the Play
At a large, tastefully appointed Sneden’s Landing townhouse, the Deputy Mayor of New York has just shot himself. Though only a flesh wound, four couples are about to experience a severe attack of farce. Gathering for their 10th wedding anniversary, the host lies bleeding in another room and his wife is nowhere in sight. His lawyer, Ken and wife Chris must get “the story” straight before other guests arrive. As miscommunication and confusion mount, the evening spins into classic farcical hilarity.
