Clarion County Airport to Host ‘Fire, Smoke, and Sparks Air Show’

Air ShowCLARION CO., Pa. – Clarion County Airport will host the Fire, Smoke, and Sparks Air Show with two days of activities for aviation enthusiasts on August 12 and 13.

On Friday, gates open at 3 p.m. and on Saturday at 10 a.m.

There are many things to see and experience for both young and old including plane rides, skydiving exhibitions, displays, demonstrations and more.

Friday evening, oldies band American Pie will be in concert. Manfred Radius will perform a special night flight featuring exciting glider aerobatics.

Saturday morning there is a Fly In/Drive In Breakfast from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. Beautiful classic and custom cars can be seen at the Knight Cruisers Car Cruise from 12 p.m. until 4 p.m.

C-123-ThunderPig

Experience the wild thrills of Billy and David Werth. Billy does low-level acrobatics and David joins him on his motorcycle. You can even ride in a D-Day Veteran Aircraft, a C-47A Dakota. Don’t pass up a once in a lifetime opportunity to be a part of history.

Flight of Titan T-51D Mustangs will offer dog fights, formation flying, and aerobatics.

Things will really heat up when the flame-throwing Tulsa County Heat Wave jet-powered dragster performs and a C-123 “Thunder Pig” will be on display.

The event ends with a fantastic Wine and Dine Saturday evening at 6 p.m.

  • Youth (ages 5-18) $4 ($5 at the gate)
  • Seniors (ages 66+) $7 ($8 at the gate)
  • Veterans (with ID) $7 ($8 at the gate)

  • Children under 5 are free
