Clarion U. Baseball, Softball Announce Weekend Game Schedule Changes

CLARION, Pa. – Weather and field availability has forced more schedule changes for the Clarion University baseball and softball teams.

Because of field availability in Johnstown, the baseball doubleheader against Pitt-Johnstown originally scheduled for Saturday has been moved to Monday with a 1 p.m. start time for game one.

In softball, unplayable fields have forced the postponement of a pair of PSAC West doubleheaders set for Clarion. Friday’s double dip with Mercyhurst and Saturday’s twinbill with Gannon have been put off. No make up date has been made for the Mercyhurst game, while it was announced Thursday afternoon that the Gannon games will be played in Erie Monday with the team’s then switching home games so that the Golden Knights come to Clarion April 18.

The baseball team is now scheduled to be back in action at 1 p.m. Sunday for a PSAC West doubleheader against Pitt-Johnstown that is being played in Johnstown with the Golden Eagles as the home team.

The softball team’s next slated contest is a PSAC West doubleheader at Edinboro April 3.
