She is the third different Golden Eagle to win a weekly award this year and represents the fourth such honor Clarion has recorded in the 2016 season.

Ferragonio was in complete control of the back row defense for the Golden Eagles this past weekend, helping them to two important wins in the race for PSAC Tournament seeding, including a victory over reigning PSAC Tournament champion Shippensburg.  She averaged 6.62 digs per set, totaling 53 total digs over the course of two matches, and helped a Golden Eagle defense that held opponents to just a .091 hitting percentage in two matches.  She started the weekend with 28 digs against Millersville, an average of 7.00 digs per set, and then totaled 25 against the Raiders.  The Marauders were held to just a .030 team hitting percentage as Clarion totaled 85 digs on the day.  Shippensburg hit just .147 on Saturday and Clarion out-dug them 90-82.

On the season, Ferragonio is averaging 4.34 digs per set, but that average jumps up to 4.71 digs per set in conference play.  Earlier this year she recorded her 1,000th career dig, doing so against Seton Hill.
