Clarion Woman Jailed on $50k Bond for Calling 911 Multiple Times Without Emergency

PBQ9njNJEFFERSON COUNTY, Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police say a Clarion woman has been arrested for calling Jefferson County 911 without having an emergency.

Tammy Lynn Uplinger, 48, of Clarion, was charged with false alarms to agencies of public safety, according to police.

Police say Uplinger allegedly made several calls to Jefferson County 911 without having an emergency between the dates of April 17 and April 18.

This isn’t the first time Uplinger allegedly made calls to a 911 center without having an emergency. Ms. Uplinger was accused of making multiple calls to Clarion County 911 in 2013.

According to police, the calls served no legitimate purpose.

Uplinger was charged and remanded to Jefferson County Jail in lieu of $50,000.00 bail.
