The Raiders received 15 of the 18 possible first-place votes and will be under the direction of coach Steve Spence, who claimed the PSAC Coach of the Year in 2016. SU returns six all-conference performers, including Caity Reese. Reese finished fifth in the PSAC Championship last year before turning a sixth-place finish in the NCAA DII Atlantic Regional. The Raiders won the PSAC title for the eighth time in school history before claiming the Atlantic Region championship.

The California Vulcans grabbed three first-place votes and return seniors Julie Friend and Summer Hill. Hill finished third in the PSAC Championship in 2016. Cal claimed fourth in the Atlantic Regional.

Edinboro earned third in the poll and returns all-conference performer Abbey Peters. The Fighting Scots will boast eight freshmen in the 2017 campaign.

Lock Haven was slotted fourth while Bloomsburg took fifth. The Huskies had three runners finish in the top-10 of the PSAC Championship. Senior Hannah Boudreau looks to build on an impressive 2016 season.

East Stroudsburg, Kutztown, Seton Hill, West Chester and Slippery Rock rounded out the top 10.

Mercyhurst, IUP, Clarion, Mansfield and Gannon were slated 11th to 15th, respectively.

Millersville, Pitt-Johnstown and Cheyney completed the poll.

Ten PSAC schools open their respective seasons on Friday, Sept. 1.
