Cleo Miller, age 91, of Brookville, passed away on December 22, 2015, at 5:10 a.m., surrounded by family.
Born February 29, 1924 in Shannondale, Clarion County, she was the daughter of the late Newton and Elsie (Kiehl) Miller.
On November 4, 1944, she married George Miller, who survives. They resided in Frogtown until 11 years ago when they moved into the Laurels in Brookville.
Cleo was an instructor of the Dale Carnegie Course, Personnel Director for Rolo, and later for ASR Medical. She volunteered many years at the Clarion Hospital gift shop. She was a graduate of Clarion-Limestone High School.
She was a devoted, life-long member of Zion Lutheran Church in Shannondale. She was a member and past Matron of the New Bethlehem Order of the Easter Star and was Grand Chaplain of the Grand Chapter of Pennsylvania. She belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary and Helping Hand Auxiliary of WRC.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sisters, Lois Miller and Joan Miller, both of Brookville; and nieces and nephews who were very close and dear to her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers – Harold, Axe, Jay and Leon; and four sisters – Kathryn Harmon, Audrey Greenwalt, Arabelle Hartzell and Mary Jane Baughman.
Memorial donations may be made to either Zion Lutheran Church, 3117 Pine Run Rd, Mayport PA 16240, or McKinley Health Care Center, Laurel Brook Dr, Brookville PA 15825.
Arrangements are under the care of the Goble Funeral Home & Crematory in Clarion. A private memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 28 at Zion Lutheran Church in Shannondale.
