Clifford “Buck” Swatsworth

Clifford “Buck” Swatsworth, 86, of DuBois, PA, passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2021, while a patient at Penn Highlands DuBois.

Buck was born on November 27, 1935, in Curwensville, PA, to the late Blake and Lyda (Middleton) Swatsworth.

He married Phyllis Jean Sanford on November 22, 1959, in Clearfield, PA. She preceded him in death on November 15, 2005.

Buck worked as a carpenter for DuBois Tool & Electric and the Housing Authority and later as a bus driver for Clepper Bus Services.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean Era.

Buck was known as a man of many talents and the life of any party.

He enjoyed playing horseshoes, camping, and hunting.

Buck is survived by his daughter, Tracy (Swatsworth) Yates; three grandchildren, Michael (April) Yates of Danville, VA, Tim (Crystal) Blochberger of DuBois, PA, and Todd (Noelle) Blochberger of Curwensville, PA; ten great-grandchildren, Jaten, Blaine, Peyton, Courtland, Candace, Emily, Marcus, Aiden, Alyssa, and Whitley; a sister, Mary Lou Straw, Tonawanda, NY, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, Buck was preceded in death by two brothers, three sisters, and a daughter, Teresa Blochberger.

Friends and family will be received Sunday, January 2, 2022 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Adamson Funeral Chapel and Crematorium.

A funeral service will follow the visitation at 2 p.m. from the funeral chapel with Michael Yates officiating.

Interment will be in Rockton Cemetery.
