BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – For those enjoying the unseasonably warm weather, it’s time to bundle up.
After largely warmer than average temperatures across the region for the last few weeks, the National Weather Service forecast is predicting a drop that appears likely to last for awhile.
In the region, Wednesday will be cold with highs in the upper 30s, winds 13 to 16 mph with gusts as high as 28 mph and lows around 24. There is a slight chance of snow showers before midnight.
Thursday and Friday will be even colder with highs around 30 and lows around 18.
Those wishing for it to look like Christmas will get the temperatures, but the odds of the white stuff blanketing the ground are 50-50 at best.
From Saturday to Monday, the temperatures will stabilize with continued highs around 30 and lows in the upper teens to low 20s. There is a 30 to 50 percent chance of snow showers each day.
