Community Invited to Clarion University Job Fair on April 16

CLARION, Pa. (EYT) – Clarion University Center for Career and Professional Development will host a Job and Community Resources Fair on April 16 in the multi-purpose room of Gemmell Student Complex.

The event is from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The fair, a collaborative effort between the university, Clarion Area Chamber of Commerce and PA CareerLink, is open to the public.

Bill Bailey, director of the Center for Career and Professional Development said employers will be on hand from the central to northwestern Pennsylvania region, as well as the Pittsburgh and Butler areas.

The fair will serve multiple purposes, depending on the goal of the job seeker. Some employers will have openings they’re looking to fill; some jobs may be offered on the spot; and all employers will have information about the types of jobs they offer. Educational and experiential requirements for positions vary.

Bailey recommends that participants dress as they would for a job interview.

Professional attire is recommended for both men and women job seekers.

Bailey also recommends that job seekers bring multiple copies of a current resume.
