Convicted Sex Offender Facing Felony Charges for Failing to Comply with Megan’s Law Requirements

eR1kMQm[1]BIG RUN, Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police charged a registered sex offender on May 19 with failure to register with the State Police as required by state law.

43-year-old Terry Allen Jones, Jr. is facing two Felony 2 charges of “Failure to Comply With Registration of Sexual Offender Requirements” and one Felony 2 charge of “Failure to Register with PSP.”

He is registered as a Tier 3 sex offender. A Tier 3 sex offender is the most serious classification and requires lifetime registration.

Jones was convicted of Rape in 2013 in New York.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on June 9 in front of Magisterial District Judge Douglas Robert Chambers.
