Corey Joseph Giles

Corey Joseph Giles, 36, of Mercer, PA, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, November 16, 2021.

He was born in Dubois, PA on August 2, 1985 to Nathan D. and Jerri L. (Peterman) Giles.

Corey was a gentle spirit with a big heart for people.

From the first moment you met him, you instantly connected.

He could and would talk to anyone and made them feel important to him.

He grew up in a hunting family. He treasured the time he spent hunting with his Pappy, Grandpa, Father, Brother, family and friends.

He took great pride in his accomplishments.

He and his “band of brothers” in high school sports made many memories together in football, basketball and baseball.

His senior year, high school football team brought the whole Cochranton Community together with an undefeated season.

It was extra special that his brother was a part of that team and at times they were on the field together.

He continued on with his passion of playing college football for Clarion University and excelled at the Defensive End position.

He loved sports, He loved life, he loved people and he loved his friends, but most of all, HE LOVED HIS FAMILY.

He was employed in sales with Cintas in Ohio for several years.

He was so proud to reach his goal of entering into the field of medical sales with Medline Corporation until the pandemic occurred.

Despite his struggles, he had a heart of gold and cared more for others than he did for himself.

He would have been a wonderful father someday.

He loved children with all his heart and cherished the time spent with all of his family members at the July 4th weekend get togethers.

His nephew Bode gave him so much JOY and was the light of his life.
