65-year-old Corsica Burglar Allegedly Caught in Act

PINECREEK TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – According to Punxsutawney-based State Police, around 12:40 p.m. on July 26, a theft occurred at Lyon’s Engineering at 1378 Route 1830, in Pinecreek Township, Jefferson County.

Police say the crime occurred when Lyon’s Engineering, of Brookville, arrived at his property and discovered 65-year-old Jerome McCallion, of Corsica, was allegedly in the act of taking various items of metal, which he had loaded into the trunk of a tan, 1997 Toyota Camry.

McCallion was prevented from leaving the scene by the victim, according to police.

Upon PSP Punxsutawney arrival, McCallion was taken into custody, charged, and placed in the Jefferson County Jail.

He faces charges of Theft, Receiving Stolen Property, and Criminal Trespass.

The investigation continues.
