Corsica Teen Escapes Injury in Crash on Route 322

car-accident-graphic-5254_jpg_475x310_q85-300x225PAINT TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – According to Clarion-based State Police, a two-vehicle accident occurred on State Route 322, 28th Division Highway, 919 feet east of Fiberboard Road, in Paint Township, Clarion County.

Police say 19-year-old Alexander D. Wells, of Corsica, and 19-year-old Sierra L. Gathers, of Rimersburg, were involved in the collision.

A 2014 Jeep Wrangler, driven by Wells, and a 1996 Ford Taurus, driven by Gathers, were traveling eastbound on SR 322. The Ford Taurus was traveling in front of the Jeep Wrangler, according to police.

This highway has just been milled leaving the roadway rough, police say.

The Ford Taurus stopped for traffic, and the Jeep Wrangler failed to stop, impacting its front into the rear of the Ford Taurus, according to police.

Both drivers were using seat belts, and no injuries were reported, police say.

Wells was charged with a traffic violation.
