County Commissioners Hold Casting Of Lots For Primary Elections

jefferson commissioners casting of lotsBROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) — The Jefferson County Commissioners held the casting of lots for this May’s primary elections after their Tuesday meeting.

The casting of lots determines how a candidate will be listed on the ballot.

Jack Matson, Chairman of the Commissioners shook a container with numbered balls to determine the order on the ballot.

There are two elections being held at the county level, including for coroner and district attorney.

There is also one for district magistrate and numerous others for townships, boroughs and school boards throughout the county.

The primary elections will be held Tuesday, May 16.
