Cranberry’s Schreck to Play Basketball at Penn State DuBois


DUBOIS, Pa. (D9Sports) – Cranberry’s Malliah Schreck will continue her basketball career next year at Penn State DuBois.

A four-year letter winner at Cranberry, Malliah scored 1,366 career points and hauled in 1,033 career rebounds. Malliah was selected the past two seasons to the All American Awards & Engraving D9Sports.com All-District 9 Team earning first-team honors in 2019 after being a second-team selection in 2018.

Also, a two-time KSAC All-Star selection, she helped lead her team to the District 9 playoffs three years. The 5-foot-10-inch team captain averaged 18.8 points and 14.0 rebounds per game as a senior and she has been accepted into the Penn State Education program.

In the classroom, Malliah is a member of the National Honor Society (Vice President), Senior Class Officer (Secretary), Conservation Club (Vice President), Seneca Indians 4-H Club (President), as well as the Varsity Club.

“Malliah will be a perfect fit at Penn State DuBois,” PSU DuBois head coach Pat Lewis said. “She is a fantastic athlete, hard worker, and strong student. She is a proven scorer as well as an aggressive rebounder that has a strong knack for being around the ball. (Assistant) Coach (Scott) Creighton and I had Malliah very high on our recruiting charts and we look for her to make an immediate impact next season.”
