Crash That Shut Down Route 219 Remains Under Investigation

SNYDER TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Emergency personnel responded to a crash that shut down a portion of State Route 219 in Snyder Township on Monday.

According to a representative of Jefferson County 9-1-1, they received a call around 1:30 p.m. for a crash involving a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle on State Route 219 near the intersection with Rattlesnake Road in Snyder Township.

Brockway Volunteer Hose Company, Falls Creek Volunteer Fire Department, Brockway Area Ambulance, and two units from Dusan Community Ambulance were dispatched to the scene.

DuBois-based State Police also responded to the scene.

Initial reports indicate there were injuries resulting from the crash.

PennDOT stated Route 219 was closed for several hours in both directions between Westville Road and Rattlesnake Road.

The accident remains under investigation.

No further details are available at this time.

Police are expected to release additional information within the next 48 hours.
