Creta Lou Miller

Creta Lou Miller, 87, passed away April 15, 2021, at Christ the King Manor.

Born in Kittanning, PA, on August 11, 1933, she was the daughter of Dallas Miller and Janet Mowrey Miller and raised by Iva Males Miller. At the age of 3, Creta moved to DuBois.

Creta worked for a year at Jeffers and more than 43 years at Rockwell until her retirement. She was a member of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, where she was an active member of the Women’s Guild. Creta belonged to the Over 50 Club and the DuBois Nursing Home Auxiliary. She enjoyed baking cookies for others, making crafts, and oil painting. Creta loved her kitty cats, feeding the birds, and traveling. Every vacation, she would head out to see our beautiful country. She visited 48 states.

Creta was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 6 siblings, Grant, Percy, June, Olive “Ollie”, Margie, and Gordon.

Friends and family will be received Monday, April 19, 2021, from 10-11 a.m. at the Adamson Funeral Chapel and Crematorium. Following the visitation, a service will be held at 11 a.m. from the funeral chapel with Pastor Robert Newell officiating. Due to current regulations, masks are required and social distancing will be practiced. Visitors are asked to keep their visit brief to allow others to pay their respects. Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery.
