Curwensville Man Accused of Attempted Stabbing in Mahaffey Borough

Police car lightsMAHAFFEY BORO, CLEARFIELD CO., Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police say a Curwensville man was arrested following an attempted stabbing that occurred on November 19, at Starlite Lounge located at 930 Market Street, in Mahaffey Borough, Clearfield County.

According to police, on November 19, Harry Dunlap, 64, of Curwensville, became involved in an argument with the 58-year-old Luthersburg male victim over some tools that Dunlap had allegedly borrowed.

Police say Dunlap allegedly pulled a large knife from a sheath on his side and attempted to stab the victim in the stomach.

According to police, the knife was retrieved by the bartender at the bar.

Dunlap allegedly fled the scene prior to police arrival.

Charges have been filed with District Court 46-3-04 charging Dunlap with terroristic threats, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, and disorderly conduct.
