BROOKVILLE 42, ELK COUNTY CATHOLIC 32
BROOKVILLE, Pa. – Elaina Powell poured in 23 points on the strength of seven 3-pointers to lead Brookville to a 42-32 D9 League Senior Night win over Elk County Catholic.
Powell hit her first three treys in a nine-point first quarter that saw Brookville lead 15-4. ECC got it back to 23-15 by halftime, but could only get as close as six points the rest of the way.
MacKenzie Ganoe scored six of her eight points in the first quarter while Hali Olson scored five points and grabbed eight rebounds.
Reilly Herzing led ECC with 14 points. Jose Smith scored 10 points.
PUNXSUTAWNEY 58, ST. MARYS 25
ST. MARYS, Pa. – Punxsutawney outscored St. Marys 25-5 in the second quarter on its way to a 58-25 win over St. Marys in D9 League play at St. Marys.
Hope Bridge scored 19 points to lead the Lady Chucks while Alli Lunger added nine points and Ivy Ferko seven.
Morgan Vanleer scored six points in the second quarter for Punxsy, while Ferko, Lunger and Kate Horner each added five. The 25-point second-quarter gave the Lady Chucks a 36-11 halftime lead.
Rachel Bauer and Rachelle Armanini each scored seven points to lead St. Marys.
VENANGO CATHOLIC 60, CLARION-LIMESTONE 42
OIL CITY, Pa. – Behind 31 points from Ava Homan, Venango Catholic beat visiting Clarion-Limestone, 60-42, in KSAC North play.
Josie Stitt scored 18 points to lead C-L with Paige Aaron adding 12.
