Dale Eugene McAfoos, 86, of 22 Spruce Street, Brookville, PA died Thursday, August 6, 2015 at his home (apartment) at North Fork Heights.
Born November 18, 1928 in Sheffield, PA., he was the son of the late Howard E. and Bernice L. (Work) McAfoos.
Dale was a veteran of the US Army. He was employed as a lumberman at the VanSteenburg Sawmill until he retired in 1990.
He liked to haul junk, and he loved to talk to people.
Dale is survived by a son, Gregory S. McAfoos of Brookville, and a daughter Janice M. Delp of Brookville. He is also survived by two sisters; Joyce M. Skidmore of Woodstock, VA., and Leona M. (Gerald) Atcheson of Brookville.
In addition to his parents, Dale is preceded in death by a son Mike McAfoos, a brother, James William McAfoos Sr., and a sister, Phyllis Fitzgerald.
The family was assisted with the arrangements by the Furlong Funeral Home, Gregory K. Furlong FD, 50 Broad Street in Summerville, PA.
A memorial service will be at the Furlong Funeral Home on Saturday September 19, 2015 at 2:00 PM.
Interment will be at the Westview Cemetery in Clover Twp., Jefferson County.
