David B. Kennedy, 62 of Punxsutawney, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Altoona Regional Health system.
Mr. Kennedy was born September 1, 1952 in Punxsutawney, a son of the late Patrick and Della Kathryn (Shaffer) Kennedy.
David is survived by his wife Anna M. (Filitske) Kennedy of Punxsutawney. They were married February 2, 1974.
David was a devoted family man who loved the Lord. Spending time with his family was his greatest joy.
In addition to his wife Anna, he is survived by his son; Shon D. Kennedy and wife Jamie of Rochester Mills, daughters; Melissa Stouffer and husband Gregory of Punxsutawney, Nichole Manners and husband Christopher of Ohio, Kimberly Vallese and husband John of N. Huntington, brother; Keith Kennedy and wife Kathy, sisters; Beverly Bish and husband Tom, Betty Dinger and husband Terry all of Punxsutawney, Karen Schreffler and husband Scott of Oil City, nine grandchildren; Trenton, Isaac and Brody Stouffer, Jarek, Collin and Ava Manners, Gabrielle, Elias and Lucca Vallese and his sister in law; Nioma Kennedy of Punxsutawney and brother’s in law; Dick Bish of New York and Bernie Filitske and wife Laurie of Punxsutawney.
He was preceded in death by his brother; Richard Kennedy and sister; Patty Bish.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 pm Thursday, June 25, 2015 at the McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney.
A funeral service will be held at 1 pm Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Bob Ruffner officiating. Interment is private for family.
