David Dean Deitman, 55, of Rossiter, died August 24, 2015 at UPMC in Pittsburgh while surrounded by his family.
He was born August 22, 1960 in Punxsutawney to Otto “Sonny” Deitman and Mary Deitman of Gettysburg, who survives.
David worked for the Jamesway Department Store in Punxsutawney and also for Servicemaster in Punxsutawney.
He enjoyed baseball, bowling, fishing, and hunting and was a member of the Punxsutawney Eagles Club.
David is survived by his wife, Edith “Edie” Schmidt Deitman of Rossiter. They were married for 27 years. His mother and son Tyler also survive.
Additionally, he is survived by a daughter, Faith Deitman of Rossiter; a sister Tina Deitman Greenawalt of Gettysburg; two half brothers Gwilym “Sonny Jr.” Deitman of Warren, Michigan and Garland “Smokey” Deitman of Meadville; and one half sister, Gloria Deitman Merritt of Rozet, Wyoming.
