DCC Wins City Game in Baseball Behind Four RBIs from Bloom


DUBOIS, Pa. (D9Sports) – Noah Bloom had a pair of hits and four RBIs to lift DuBois Central Catholic to a 10-1 win over DuBois in the City Game at Showers Field.

Bloom was 2-for-4 with a double and a triple while also scoring twice for the Cardinals, who had 13 hits in the game.

Brandon Walker, Thomas Grecco and Damon Foster each added a pair of hits for DCC with Walker going 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored, Grecco 2-for-3 with a double, a walk and two RBIs and Foster 2-for-3 with a run scored. Foster was also hit by a pitch. Anthony Kness added a triple and two runs scored in the win with Zane Felix chipping in a double, a run scored and an RBI in his lone at bat.

Jack Mohney had a pair of hits, including a double, and scored DuBois’ lone run.

Grecco was strong again on the mound going 6 ⅔ innings before hitting the 100-pitch mark. He allowed an unearned run on five hits and a hit batter while striking out six. Kness came on and got the final out.

Dylan McCluskey took the loss allowing five unearned runs on seven hits and a walk in 3 ⅔ innings of work.
