Dean Watson obitDean S. Watson, 79, of 29 West Fifth St. Oil City, PA. ,died at 7:45 A.M. Sunday Jan. 31, 2016 at UPMC-Northwest in Seneca after an extended illness.

Born July 31, 1936 in Reno, PA., he was the son of the late Clarence B. Watson & Lois M. Shuler Watson.

Dean was married on Nov. 18, 1961 in Our Lady Help of Christians Church by the late Fr. Stephen J. Kotyuk to the former Carolyn G. Homer and she survives. Mr. Watson had worked many years as an operator, then foreman for Foster Forbes Glass Plant. After the plant closed, Dean worked for the glass plant out of state, and then for Anchor Glass in Winchester, Indiana before retiring in 1999.

He was a member of St. Stephen’s Church. Dean enjoyed hunting and fishing. In his younger years, he was the assistant manager for Junior and Senior League Baseball while his kids were playing in the late 70’s.

In addition to his wife Carolyn of Oil City, he is survived by three children and their spouses Michael & Karen Watson of Oil City, Bill & Holly Watson of Oil City, Denise & Jeff Huber of Titusville and 6 Grandchildren Joshua, Jeremy, Daniel & his wife Sara, Rachel, Katie, and Kayla. Four Great Grandchildren Raven, Jaimie, Chloe, and Bentley. One sister Mary Burt & her husband Joe of Pleasantville. His two sister-in-laws Jean Watson of Centerville and Darlene Watson of Pleasantville and by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers Dewayne, Don, and Dan Watson

Friends will be received from 3-5 and from 7-9 P.M. Tuesday in the Reinsel Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday in the Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M. with Fr. Matthew Ruyechan, Presiding.

Interment will be in Jerusalem Corners Cemetery.
