Deer Causes One-Vehicle Crash on I-80 in Union Twp.

state_policeUNION TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – According to DuBois-Based State Police, a one-vehicle crash involving a deer occurred on June 5 on Interstate 80, in Union Township, Clearfield County.

Police say the crash occurred around 7:28 p.m. as Christoper J. Blaze, 31, of Mercer, was traveling westbound on I-80 near mile marker 105.

Blaze struck a deer that entered the roadway from the right side with his 2011 Chevrolet Silverado.

After striking the deer, Blaze brought his vehicle to a controlled final rest on the right berm of I-80.

The Silverado sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene by Zimmerman’s Towing.

Blaze was wearing a seat belt and was uninjured in the crash.
