Delores D. London

1603484_profile_pic[1]Delores D. London, 77, Punxsutawney, died Monday, June 1, 2015, at her home.

She was born September 20, 1937, in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late Leona (McAninch) and Russell Burkett. Delores was the last remaining member of her family.

On June 26, 1954, she married Irvin M. London, who survives.

She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Punxsutawney where she served as the church librarian.

She loved reading books, quilting, her grandchildren, great grandchildren, gardening, photography, and writing poetry.

In addition to her husband Irvin, surviving relatives include four sons, Meade London and wife Linda of Punxsutawney, Russ London and wife Renda of Punxsutawney, Doug London of Pinedale, WY, and Scott London of Weippe, ID; four grandchildren, Shawn London and wife Dana of Punxsutawney, Shannon London and wife Gina of Punxsutawney, Kara Cochran of Punxsutawney, and Corey London and wife Shannon of Punxsutawney; seven great grandchildren, Addison London, Sophia London, Damien, Brianna, and Ali Cochran, and Alyssa and Jase London.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, John, James, George, Jacob, and David Burkett; two sisters, Mary Bowser and Elsie Mae Geist; and a granddaughter Amber (London) Ratay.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday, June 4, 2015, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Friday, June 5, 2015, at the First Assembly of God Church with Pastor Tim Michaux officiating.

Interment will be in Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Oliveburg.

Memorial contributions may be made, in memory of Mrs. London, to the Mt. Tabor Cemetery Association or to the First Assembly of God Church.
