Dennis E. Pisarcik

DennisDennis E. Pisarcik age 80 of Penn Avenue Brockway, Pa. died on Monday, May 16, 2016 at his residence.

Born on November 1, 1935 in Brockway, he was the son of the late Francis and Anna Pinchock Pisarcik.

Denny was married to Donna L. McCurdy and she preceded him in death on August 6, 1993. He then married Geri Runyan on July 10, 1998 and she survives.

He was a member at St. Tobias Church in Brockway and was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran. Denny also was a lifetime member of the Brockway Volunteer Hose Company, a member of Parson-Marnati Post #95 of the American Legion and a member at the V.F.W. Club in DuBois. He enjoyed Nascar Racing, wood working, hunting, watching Penn State football in the fall, cheering for the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers and he never missed a Brockway Rover home football game.

In addition to his wife he is also survived by three daughters: Denise (Bob) Parulo of Brockway; Julia (Rich) Mooney of Falls Creek; Brenda (John) Penson of Freedom, PA; three sons: Jeffrey Pisarcik of Sykesville; Christopher (Marlene) Pisarcik of Cornelius, NC; Stephen “Albert” (Keri) Pisarcik of Brockway; two step-daughters: Vicki Patrick of DuBois; Debbie Petrillo of Brockway; three step-sons: Richard (Rose) Petrillo; Jonnie (Franie) Petrillo; Jimmy (Cathy) Petrillo all of DuBois, Pa. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 10 step-grandchildren and nine step-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and his first wife he is also preceded in death by two brothers: Robert and Richard Pisarcik and a sister Delores Caginia.

Calling hours will be on Thursday, May 19 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 20 at 10 a.m. at St. Tobias Church in Brockway with Msgr. Charles Kaza presiding.

Burial will be in the St. Tobias Cemetery.

A Vigil Service will be held Thursday evening at 7:45 p.m. at the funeral home.

Full Military Honors will be accorded Friday morning at the Church by members of the Parson-Marnati Post #95 Burial Detail.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Tobias Church, Brockway Vol. Hose Company or Penn Highlands DuBois Hospice.
