WEST SUNBURY, Pa. – Moniteau sophomore quarterback was too much for Brookville Friday night passing for 161 yards and a touchdown and running for 76 yards and three more scores while also intercepting a pass on defense to lead the Warriors to a 37-14 win.

“We played very well tonight,” said Nagy. “Our offensive line did a heck of a job. The whole team came out and played in the second half.”

For the Raiders, who trailed 10-6 at halftime, it was another case of an up-and-down performance as they dropped to 1-5 on the season.

“We’re close, but for whatever reason we can’t put four complete quarters together,” said Brookville head coach Scott Park. “ I thought we showed some good things on offense tonight, we threw the ball well. We just have to find a way to put it all together.”

Moniteau jumped out to a 10-0 lead.

A bad snap on a third-and-12 play sailed over the head of Brookville quarterback Set Ray on the Raiders third snap of the game, and Moniteau’s Dillin Anderson recovered the loose ball setting up Nagy’s first rushing touchdown of the game, on an 8-yard run on the ensuing play.

On its next possession, Moniteau went 74 yards in seven plays capped with Steven Fawcett’s 22-yard field. Nagy’s 47-yard run was the big play of the drive, as the Warriors took a 10-0 after a quarter.

Brookville was able to get itself back into the game midway through the second quarter following a Warrior fumble.

Ray’s 60-yard touchdown pass Nick Keth on the first play brought the Raiders to within four at intermission.

The teams then exchanged scores in the third quarter.

Nick Martino capped a seven-play, 54-yard drive with a 9-yard run at the 4:18 mark of third quarter to put the Warriors ahead 17-6.

Undaunted, the Raiders struck right back as John Frank hauled in a quick-out from Ray and outran the Warriors secondary for 77-yard touchdown on the following snap following the Moniteau score to make it 17-14.

“We felt they weren’t covering the inside guy, so we made some adjustments,” Park said. “Seth really made some nice throws. That’s we’re capable of doing. We just need the running game to go with it.”

Brookville was limited to negative 56 yards rushing on 20 attempts offsetting a strong game from Ray, who was 9 of 21 passing for 277 yards, a touchdown and an interception. It was the fourth-most yards a Brookville quarterback has ever thrown for and the most since Ben Marzullo threw for a school-record 362 in 1999. Frank had a monster game hauling in five passes for 154 yards and the touchdown, the sixth-most receiving yards in school history.

But with the game hanging in the balance, it was Moniteau that answered the bell scoring three unanswered touchdowns in the fourth quarter to put the game away.

Nagy scored on runs of 1 & 5 yards while tossing a 29-yard touchdown passes to Wyatt Geibel.

Mitch DiMaria lead the Warriors in rushing with 86 yards on 10 carries, Geibel caught five passes for 83 yards and a touchdown helping Moniteau outgain Brookville, 442-221.

“We just have to put it all together, we have to find a way,” said Park.
