According to police, the child received an injury to his face on May 13 between the hours of 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.
He was treated and released from Punxsutawney Hospital and later transported to Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh.
The suspect is listed as a known adult male.
Due to the nature of the case, police say they will not release any further information until the investigation is complete.
Jefferson County Children and Youth Services, the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office, and the Pittsburgh Child Advocacy Center of Children’s hospital are assisting with the investigation.
