Diane L. Smith, age 70, of DuBois, PA, died Friday, December 2, 2022 at her home.
Born on December 31, 1951 in DuBois, PA, she was the daughter of the late Lamar and Olive (Korb) Shaffer.
On June 6, 1970, she married her husband of 52 years, James W. Smith. He survives.
Diane retired from the DuBois branch office of PNC Bank after 45 years of service.
Sha had attended Salem United Methodist church and enjoyed bingo, coloring, and cooking and baking for her family.
Diane also loved to sing and was half of the well known duo, the “Singing D’s”.
Diane is survived by her son (Matthew J. Smith and his wife Nantana of DuBois, PA), a grandson (Carter Smith, and four sisters (Sharon Muth of Luthersburg, PA, Lois Bickel of Chestnut Grove, PA, Betty Shaffer of Bloomville, OH, and Connie Shaffer Farrell of DuBois, PA).
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step mother (Helen Shaffer), and her grandchild (Shawn Dahrouge-Smith).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Baronick Funeral Home and Crematorium, Inc.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at 11 a.m. from the funeral home with Pastor Terry Felt officiating.
Burial will take place in Lakelawn Memorial Park.
Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
