District 10 Little League Baseball/Softball Titles to be Decided this Week

DUBOIS, Pa. – A number of District 10 Little League Baseball and Softball titles will be decided this week.

Minor League Baseball

In Minor League (9-and-10-year olds) baseball action, DuBois will get its first crack at the District 10 title Monday when it hosts Warren at 6 p.m. A DuBois will and it’s the champion. A Warren victory sets up a winner-take-all contest July 13.

DuBois defeated Warren 11-9 Thursday in the winner’s bracket final, and Warren earned the rematch by topping Punxsutawney 9-3 Saturday in the loser’s bracket final.

10-and-11-year old Baseball

A best-of-three series between Punxsutawney and DuBois gets underway Monday in the 10-and-11-year old bracket with Punxsy visiting DuBois for an 8 p.m. game. The series will continue Thursday in Punxsutawney, and a third game, if needed, will be played Sunday at a site and time to be determined.

Junior League Baseball

In Junior League (13-and-14-year olds) action, Warren won the winner’s bracket with an 8-3 win over DuBois Saturday and now awaits the winner of the loser’s bracket final between DuBois and Elk County being played Monday in Elk County.

The Elk County/DuBois winner would need to beat Warren Wednesday in Warren and then beat Warren again Friday to win the District. A Warren victory Wednesday it’s the champion.

Minor League Softball

Punxsutawney gets a crack at the Minor League (9-and-10-year olds) softball crown Monday when it takes on St. Marys in Punxsutawney. A win by the Jefferson County girls and they take home the crown. A victory by the Elk County team and a winner-take-all game will be played Wednesday. Punxsy beat St. Marys 3-2 in the winner’s bracket final Thursday, and St. Marys earned the rematch with a 6-5 victory over DuBois Saturday.
