Doe Licenses Still Available for Southern Jefferson County

BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – Hunters may still have some luck seeking a doe license for hunting locations in Jefferson County.

On July 28, Jefferson County Treasurer James VanSteenberg said hunters can still obtain doe licences, but only in specific sections of the county.

“The areas (designated) 2F, 2G, and 2H are all sold out, but 2D and 2E are still available in Jefferson County. It is basically the southern part of the county,” VanSteenberg said.

He advised hunters to put their request for licenses in the mail on Friday, July 31.

“The post office hasn’t been delivering many of the requests on Tuesdays and Saturdays, so get it in the mail on Friday for the best chance for us to get it here on Monday,” VanSteenberg said.
